Afro-Brazilian culture produces some of the hottest sounds and moves in the southern hemisphere. This year, The Source Project focuses on Brazil and the influence of African culture on this fascinating and diverse country. Soprano Angelica de la Riva performs with Max Barros as a special guest, works by composers from every phase of Brazilian music history, all of which respond in highly creative manner to the African heritage of Brazil including Ernani Braga, Lorenzo Fernandez and Villa Lobos.
